Charles Bukowski (1920-1994) was an American poet, novelist and short story writer. His work is marked by an emphasis on the ordinary lives of poor Americans, the act of writing, alcohol, relationships with women and the drudgery of work. After riding most of the USA on my motorcycle I can tell you that the Spearfish Canyon ride is still the best ride available on this continent.
