Scotch Whisky in a Can… Why Not?

1 Comment 18 January 2011

It’s now possible to get Scotch Whisky in a can. That is unless you’re in the USA. A Panamanian liquor company is now ‘bottling’ whisky in a can. The company, Scottish Spirits, is the first to put straight whisky in a can, and it’s being promoted as an option for outdoor venues, since it’s light-weight and recyclable. The company believes outdoor drinkers would prefer to crack open a tin rather than lug round a bottle of whisky.

It is however 8 shots of straight whisky in a 12 ounce can. So when you pop the top on this can you better be ready to drink it all or have someone to share it with, because it’s not resealable.
