America’s Liquor Laws—The Good, The Bad & The Ridiculous

We believe there is no rational alternative to the free market; however, the nanny state continues to try to control us with the inane, ridiculous laws.

Each state has it’s own set of laws–some that make sense for historical reasons, and others that are completely random. In regards to alcohol, each state tends to differ quite substantially on how, when and how much booze can be served. Below are some of the more interesting alcohol laws, as well as how they differ state-to-state.

    In NY you can buy beer at the gas station but it is illegal to sell beer in a liquor store. go figure.

    Pretty sure LA isn’t quite right as I have tried to purchase alcohol at 24 hour groceries before and been told ‘sorry, it’s after mindnight on saturday, we can’t sell this to you?
