A Bourbon Sour is a variation on the classic Whiskey Sour. The difference between the two is you use bourbon instead of cheap blended whiskey, which results in a smokier more flavorful cocktail.
Here’s how to make a Bourbon Sour
Ingredients:
- 2 oz. Bourbon
- 1 oz. syrup
- 1 oz. lemon juice
- 1 maraschino cherry (optional garnish)
- 1 slice of lemon or orange (optional garnish)
- Ice
- Rocks glass
Instructions:
- Fill the rocks glass with ice
- Put the bourbon in the glass
- Add the lemon juice
- Add the syrup
- Stir the mixture to combine ingredients. Alternately you can combine the ingredients in a shaker and shake them instead of stirring
- Garnish by adding a maraschino cherry and by placing a lemon or orange slice on the rim of the glass
- Serve immediately.
