Excellent bourbon at a bargain price.

Evan Williams Website

The first American Whiskey ever to win The Spirit Journal’s Whiskey of the Year award, Evan Williams Single Barrel Vintage Bourbon is bottled solely from one barrel hand-selected by Master Distillers Parker and Craig Beam. Like a fine wine, each bottle of Evan Williams Single Barrel Vintage Bourbon contains a date telling when it was put in oak barrel to age and the date is was bottled, in addition to the exact serial number of the single barrel from which it was drawn. Dating bottles is a concept that wine lovers have embraced since time began. But vintage whiskey, who ever heard of that?

The elegant bottle is sealed with a cork stopper, finished in black wax and features a distinctive label that reflects the hand-crafted care that goes into the making of this Bourbon.

86.6 proof, 43.3% Alc/vol
750ML $27.69

“Very elegant, bright and silky smooth, with honey-kissed summer fruits, subtle tropical fruit (papaya, coconut, pineapple), gentle caramel, sweet corn, and soothing vanilla, along with a dusting of cinnamon, nutmeg and crisp mint. Pleasing, gently spicy finish. The most impressive aspect of this whiskey isn’t its variety of flavors (they are fairly traditional for a bourbon this age). It’s the integration and remarkable balance of these flavors! It’s also perilously drinkable. I can’t speak for the other barrels, but if you can track down some Barrel #1, buy two! You won’t be disappointed. Let me also note what a great value this whiskey is, compared to the way other premium American whiskeys are being priced.”

“A truly refreshing glass of bourbon that is shocking in that it comes from Heaven Hill. In a blind tasting, I would have never guessed this was Evan Williams Single Barrel Bourbon. I’d say this is a must try bourbon. This review was written on-the-fly just as the tasting was going on. “The Pure Glass” from Maison du Whisky, Paris was used for this review.”
